Debbie from "Like a Cat Jewelry" has been making jewelry since she was old enough to beg the guy in the phone company truck for a hank of wire. She'd strip off the casing of the big bundle to find a rainbow of wires inside just begging to be twisted into rings. Creating was a vital part of her life when she was 7 and remains so now – even with side trips into retail, newspaper publishing and editing. Through the years she's made and sold jewelry as a hobby.

Life and career changes has given her the opportunity to focus on her jewelry-making and crafting. She'e been making Steampunk inspired jewelry of late, enjoying using found objects and leather for her creations.

Debbie has always been a geek – Doctor Who and Sci-Fi has been a life-long love, and selling her work at anime, comic book, and Sci-Fi conventions has allowed her to expand her work to celebrate her fandoms. In doing so, She'e added new skills including leatherwork and electrical wiring. (Her TARDIS and Dalek hats light up!)
